I recently purchased the Air-Q Science sensor. I really like the way the various measurements are presented in the iOS app.

One problem for me though is that the app is in the German language only, which I am not a speaker of. Right now I take a screenshot and have my iPhone running iOS 26 translate the screenshot. It's a cumbersome process, but it works.

As an iOS/Android developer myself I know that these platforms make it very easy to translate the text of an app in multiple languages. There are several online platforms that allow a developer to easily upload all the text included in the app, have it translated and incorporate those translations back in the app. The text can be cheaply translated using machine translations, or more expensively, by using real humans do it.

Would it be possible to add an English translation in the app? Perhaps you want to add other common languages used within EU while you're at it.

      Thanks!

        Hello @ovidiu !

Yes, the app can be set to German, English, French or Spanish, this can be set on the very first screen on first opening the app.
Afterwards you can change it too, I will write you the instructions with the german words, as that is what you say the app is set to:

        1. Start from the Dashboard, click the burger menu in the top right corner.
        2. Select "App-Einstellungen", it is the option with the three dots, third from the top if you do not count the login,
        3. Select "Allgemeine Einstellungen", the first option.
        4. Under "Sprachumschaltung", you can see German ("deutsch") being the selection from the dropdown, just click it and select English.

        I hope this helps!

        Best
        Merlin

          Hi @Merlin-air-Q !

Thank you very much! I was able to successfully change the language, your instructions worked perfectly.

On my apps, I have the translations set up in resource files, and the operating system chooses the appropriate one based on the user's locale settings. So the appropriate language appears when you start the app. Most apps I use have the same behaviour, Air-Q is the first one I've seen that does it this way.

          Thanks again for your help!

That is great to hear, always happy to help :)

Our lead developer saw your post and agreed that the automatic language selection makes the most sense, we are now looking to adjust the behaviour.
            Thank you for your input!
